Seriously? You're waking me up already?

Not even born yet, and already waking me up in the middle of the night.
Baby, practicing jiu jitsu in my uterus at 4 am is not okay.

I wish I could blame this on nesting...

it turns out that I'm just crazy.
There are 9 more jars of apple butter and one more of pickled green beans I sent home with the ladies who canned with me and 2 more apple butters in the fridge. No one lasted the full 12 hours it took to make apple butter from more than 25 lbs of apples we picked the day before.

If this is normal, I'm really scared for my nesting phase.

Katie is guilting me into this!!

So I had this grand plan of updating a years worth of blogs, and then posting this...but I can't take it anymore. I feel like such a slacker. Katie's big announcement (is it going to come with a blog name change? A second blog? Come on Grisfit, how are you going to handle this one?) is guilting me into posting more than 5 weeks later than I should.

I think there must be a BaTchie family resemblance, just look at Violet, baby Griffith the 2nd, or Ewan.

If I keep up at this rate, you can expect another blog post when the kid enters kindergarten, maybe another one at its wedding...if you're lucky.

So for a lot of folks, this is old news. I'm now almost 5 months along. I've already swept in for hand me down maternity and newborn clothes. I guess I'm not hitting Katie up for them now! Little fetus has made a couple swims in the Bay, been to California three times, Paris twice, Durango, Orlando and has trips to Thailand, Malaysia, Boston and California (multiple times) coming before seeing the light of day.

I'm not bragging about all the trips, most were for work anyway, but what it means is that I've been feeling good. Mild nausea, no food aversions, (although I did eat a bowl of Israeli couscous with nothing on it, and had an intense craving for a Dunkin' Donuts Coolata, which I've never actually tasted before) and no fatigue. I rallied Eric to go out all summer, guilting him with "we're not going to be able to do this soon, so we'd better go now." Most of these outings resulted in a drunk husband, since we hadn't told our friends yet, social events tend to revolve around bars, and Eric was drinking for two. Since I was feeling good (and sober) many of these evenings kept going because I would always agree to another round, which Eric would have to drink. Those of you in the know would have seen my very non-red face in all the bar photos that get posted on Facebook. That alone should have been the give away!

There, the news is out. Belly photos will follow at some point. I've been irregularly taking them three weeks or so.

Following the June-July BaTchie Baby extravaganza, a smaller BaTchie Baby Ginormi event seems manageable.
